Strawberry Shortcake-Cake

This recipe comes from my Mother... Mother would make a box yellow cake, poke holes with the end of a wooden spoon, pour a whole can of Eagle Brand milk on top of the cake, then crushed pineapple & whipped topping.  This would go in the frig overnight..
After I was married, I wanted to make a cake for my husband and remembered this special cake!
I always loved this cake and one night decided I would try this with strawberries... It turned out wonderful!  We invited our neighbors over for dinner that night & they loved it so much!  Our neighbors are now my daughter's Godparents and this cake is always a request.  I made this cake this past weekend for her God~Mother's birthday party!  Her husband said she doesn't like cake, but loves the Strawberry Shortcake Cake!

Pizza Bagel

I have always enjoyed pizza for breakfast... I am not a tradional breakfast type of girl!  My husband has always laughed at my breakfast choices.. but they are always yummy!
This whole wheat bagel was toasted in a 375 degree oven for 10 min... then I added homemade sauce that had been simmering overnight (for a Lasagna).... topped with Motz chees.. back in the oven until cheese melted:) It was wonderful!

Cake Balls

First I baked a yellow cake... let it cool for about 20 min then crumbled the cake into a large bowl.  Add about 3/4 container of white buttercream frosting to the crumbled cake.. I used a fork to stir this just until it came together.  Covered with cling wrap and into the frig to cool over night.  I have read a 6 hrs.. but I wanted to be on the safe side...  The next day I scooped the mixture out and made about 30 bite-size balls.... on wax paper and right into the freezer for several hours.. after they were frozen I melted some candy coating in a double broiler and coated the cake balls.  They turned out great!  My family loved them!!
